چکیده
Background: 3D object detection based on point clouds in road scenes has attracted much attention recently. The voxel-based methods voxelize the scene to regular grids, which can be processed with advanced feature learning frameworks convolutional layers for semantic learning. point-based extract geometric of due coordinate reservations. combination two is effective detection. However, current use a head anchors classification and localization. Although preset cover entire scene, it not suitable tasks larger multiple categories objects, limitation voxel size. Additionally, misalignment between predicted confidence proposals Regions Interest (ROI) selection bring obstacles detection. Methods: We investigate voxel-to-point module that captures features proposed paper. conducive small-size objects avoids presets inference stage. Moreover, adjustment center-boundary-aware solve regions interest selection. Results: method achieved state-of-the-art results Karlsruhe Institute Technology Toyota Technological (KITTI) dataset. Implicit Shape Models for Object Detection in 3d Point Clouds
We present a method for automatic object localization and recognition in 3D point clouds representing outdoor urban scenes. The method is based on the implicit shape models (ISM) framework, which recognizes objects by voting for their center locations. It requires only few training examples per class, which is an important property for practical use. We also introduce and evaluate an improved v...
متن کاملComplex-YOLO: Real-time 3D Object Detection on Point Clouds
Lidar based 3D object detection is inevitable for autonomous driving, because it directly links to environmental understanding and therefore builds the base for prediction and motion planning. The capacity of inferencing highly sparse 3D data in real-time is an ill-posed problem for lots of other application areas besides automated vehicles, e.g. augmented reality, personal robotics or industri...
متن کاملObject Recognition and Classification from 3D Point Clouds
in most modern robotic applications, having accurate object recognition and classification is becoming an ubiquitous requirement. To deal with the latter, several techniques have been proposed, using either monocular computer vision, stereo vision, and even laser arrays. Recently, new laser devices introduced into the market, are able to capture the whole environment as a sequence of several hu...
متن کاملSEGCloud: Semantic Segmentation of 3D Point Clouds
3D semantic scene labeling is fundamental to agents operating in the real world. In particular, labeling raw 3D point sets from sensors provides fine-grained semantics. Recent works leverage the capabilities of Neural Networks (NNs), but are limited to coarse voxel predictions and do not explicitly enforce global consistency. We present SEGCloud, an end-to-end framework to obtain 3D point-level...
متن کامل3D Detection of Power-Transmission Lines in Point Clouds Using Random Forest Method
Inspection of power transmission lines using classic experts based methods suffers from disadvantages such as highel level of time and money consumption. Advent of UAVs and their application in aerial data gathering help to decrease the time and cost promenantly. The purpose of this research is to present an efficient automated method for inspection of power transmission lines based on point c...
